Billie- The Razor
I didn’t realize how important a good razor was until I was in my late 30’s. Once you figure out how important it is, you begin to search high and low for the perfect one. May I introduce you to my new BFF- The Billie Razor.
1. What makes this amazing?
Did you know that a women’s basic razors cost more than a man razor? Yes, that is right friends. It is called the “Pink Tax”. Many of the items we use are more for no reason. Georgina Gooley found a need in the marketplace to end all of that when it came to razors, and BILLIE was born.
2. Why do I love this so much?
Well to start it is sturdy and gets the job done. Many ladies’ razors are super cheap feeling and hard to get a grip on especially when you are all lathered up in soap. Price point also doesn’t disappoint at $10. Also, I dig that when you buy one you sign up for auto ship on razors so there is none of this my razor is dull because I am too lazy to go buy a new one nonsense. For years I was a VENUS razor girl, this product blows them out of the water. What I really love about this SHE brand is what it stands for. Georgina and team not only wanted to get rid of the “pink tax,” but also create a product that spoke to women. NO ONE talks about women having body hair and Georgina had a problem with that. She also figured a way to make something that made sense to women everywhere.
3. How much does it cost?
$10
4. Where can I get it?

5. Tell us about the Founder!
Australian born Georgina is exactly the kind of entrepreneur you want to read about. A woman who created a product by being a consumer that was needing something. Taking an approach as a consumer not a marketer is one of the key things she values as a key to success. That approach has served her well as the company was just acquired by Schick brands for $310M at YE 2021. Now THAT is how you do it. Georgina is a woman who put her head down and focused and made magic happen. 1% of all revenue goes to support women and causes around them. Georgina you are something special.
“Don’t worry about planning your career too much. Life isn’t linear, and you need to be open to opportunities as they present themselves.” Georgina Gooley - Forbes Magazine 2019
